Topsy-turvy platform game

And Yet It Moves is a curious indie platform-puzzle game where you have to make your way around levels by rotating the world as you move.

Your hand drawn character is controlled by AWD and the cursor keys. The first three move your character, and the cursors rotate the environment. It can feel a bit weird to begin with, but you soon get the hang of using rotation to get around.

If you build up too much speed in the air, you'll break on contact with a surface, so you can't execute enormous leaps into the unknown. There are infinite lives, and regular checkpoints, so when you die, you respawn at your last one. The demo features 3 levels, which give you a feel for the unusual atmosphere of the game.

The graphics are really pretty, with a ripped paper look, that is reminiscent of Little Big Planet. The sound is minimal, but adds an eerie atmosphere to the gameplay. The instructions are in game, and mean anyone can easily pick up And Yet It Moves. It's not particularly hard, although there are points that might provoke some gnashing of teeth.

If you're looking for a unusual platform experience, And Yet It Moves will fit the bill perfectly.
